Sergueï Rachmaninov, né le 1er avril 1873 à Semyonovo, près de Novgorod, est une figure emblématique du romantisme russe, renommé comme compositeur, pianiste et chef d'orchestre. Considéré comme l'un des plus grands virtuoses du clavier de son temps, Rachmaninov a marqué l'histoire de la musique classique par son talent exceptionnel et son œuvre profonde.
